To mark its 14th founders’ day, the Asian school organised a three-day long programme comprising of sports, academic and cultural activities. An exhibition on the subject of disaster management was organised by the school on the last day of the celebration.
Students of various classes participated in the exhibition in which they presented models of various types of disasters and methods for dealing with disasters such as Tsunami, earthquake, floods etc. Some of the models were based on satellite imagery made by the computer department while a model of the EMA nuclear plant by chemical science department was also exhibited on the occasion among other models.
Students from primary school presented three models in Hindi and English depicting the disaster experienced in Uttarakhand in June this year. Various craft items were also created by the kids apart from which various cultural programmes were presented by the students which. Group songs, Hindi play ‘Tenali Rama’, English play ‘Comedy of Errors’ and other presentations were appreciated by the gathering. The school also honoured the toppers of the last year’s CBSE examination.
