Twenty-two new cadets  joined the RIMC on Saturday. The new cadets bring in a pan-Indian representation. These youngsters are selected through tough national-level competitive examination which is held every six months. Established in 1922 in response to the national demand of Indianisation of the officers, RIMC is the first military institution run on the lines of English Public Schools.

It is one of the public schools in the country which provides academic education up to 10+2 level of the CBSE curriculum and devotes attention to character development through games, sports and extra-curricular activities. Commandant Col HS Banisla, SM addressed the parents and the members of the staff of RIMC.  He hoped that the youngsters would uphold the glorious tradition of RIMC.
