Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy rain at isolated places, particularly along Char Dham Yatra routes and some other places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Tehri and Pauri districts during next 48 hours starting from Saturday noon.
Dehradun residents faced hot and humid conditions on Friday. However, things cooled a bit around noon on Friday after drizzling occurred.
Director of State Meteorological Centre, Anand Sharma said that cloudy sky and one or two spells of rain/thunder showers would occur on Saturday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively on Saturday in Dehradun.
The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded 30.6°C and 24.4 °C respectively in Dehradun on Friday.
The forecast for Uttarakhand on Saturday is light to moderate rain/thunderstorm at most places. Rather heavy to heavy (40-80 mm) rain may occur at isolated places especially in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand.
