Checking drive carried out at railway station
Dehradun: District police carried out checking drive at city railway station as part of its security drill. A team led by circle officer City Harish Chandra Sati checked identity cards of 110 coolies, working at the railway station here, during the drive. Sati asked the coolies to carry their cards during work hours. He said that strict action would be ensured, if anybody was found working as coolie without having proper registration. A three-wheeler was also challaned during the drive. Sati also checked the vending staff deployed at Shatabdi Express. He said that checking was carried out to ensure security at the railway station.
Koshiyari begins Nainital tour
Dehradun: Rajya Sabha MP Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has begun his tour in Nainital lok Sabha constituency on Saturday. He had begun his Kumaon division tour from Baba Kalyan asharam which is also known as Dol asharam, which is situated on the border of three districts namely Nainital, Almora and Champawat. later, he travelled three villages namely Pahad Pani, Mahtolia and Mazuli Kalyanpur and interacted with people.
