The Udham Singh Nagar district administration has emphasised on the need to reduce the response time of the popular 108 emergency health service so that relief could be provided to the needy promptly.
To make this 108 emergency health service effective and prompt, the health officials concerned will have to complete the patient admission formalities in less time, said Brijesh Kumar Sant, District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar, while taking a meeting in this regard in Udham Singh Nagar on Thursday.
The fact is that health officials must complete all the admission formalities of a patient within 5 minute so that the 108 emergency health service ambulance could become free soon to attend some other patients, further added the District Magistrate, Udham Singh Nagar. Besides, he also suggested that a list of health facilities which are being provided by different hospitals in the district, must be provided to the officials concerned of the 108 health service so that they could take the patient to the right hospital if need be.
Meanwhile, following the complaints of not admitting patients including the pregnant women to the community health centre at Bazpur, the Udham Singh Nagar District Magistrate, asked the Dr. Rakesh Sinha, CMO, Udham Singh Nagar, to take necessary steps in this regard. More so, taking a serious note of complaints regarding use of hospital ambulances for carrying passengers by the officials concerned,
Sant directed the respective police department to take necessary action against the people who are involved in such activity.
