Taking cognizance of complaints of negligence in treatment of COVID-19 patients in State’s hospitals, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday directed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Health, Rajeev Arora to conduct inspection of all COVID-19 hospitals across the state.
The ACS has been directed to carry out inspection of all treatment facilities to check the authenticity of such complaints and to ensure that hospitals are providing best treatment to the infected patients, Anil Vij said while talking to the mediapersons.
Giving details of human trials of COVID-19 vaccine, the Minister said that the PGIMS Rohtak was selected for human trial of COVID-19 vaccine by Bharat-Biotech on COVID-19 patients. The trial is ongoing in various institutions of the country. In PGIMS, the trial is being done on 20 patients, who have so far not reported any side-effects, he said.
Vij, however, added that it would take time to bring a vaccine for the deadly disease. Those who are undergoing trials would be checked again after two months for any side-effects, he added.
