Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij has directed all the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners in the State to carry out surprise inspections in Government hospitals falling in their jurisdiction.
In a written communication issued on Monday to all the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, the Health Minister directed them to make surprise visits to Government hospitals, Primary Health Centres and Community Health Centres at least once in a month.
The Minister said that during inspections, the officers would check the attendance register of the hospital and find out the problems being faced by the patients. They would also prepare a report on the problems being faced by the patients and ensure proper treatment for patients. Also, they would have to pay full attention towards cleanliness in the hospitals.
Vij said the concerned officer or employee would be answerable if any irregularity is found during inspection. The officers would have to send the report prepared by them to his office. Also, appropriate action would be taken against concerned officer or employee after the submission of report by Divisional Commissioners and District Commissioners.
