The UT Administration has decided to allot a chunk of another two acres of land to Border Security Force (BSF) for their upcoming headquarters in Industrial area, Chandigarh.
Earlier, an area of three acres was allotted to the BSF by the UT Administration.
UT Finance cum Urban Planning Secretary VK Singh said, "BSF had recently demanded more land for their upcoming headquarters in Industrial Area, Chandigarh. And, the UT Administration has decided to allot more two acres of land to them. "
The upcoming headquarters of BSF at Chandigarh would be the biggest in the north India and would coordinate with the BSF forces in Jammu & Kashmir and other northern States.
