The UT Administration has enhanced the rates of dearness allowance payable to all the employees working in the UT Administration including deputationists from others states.
The orders issued by the UT Finance Department on Thursday stated that DA is enhanced in anticipation of orders of government of Punjab from the exiting rate of 72 percent to 80 percent with effect from January 1, 2013.
“The employees shall be paid dearness allowance in cash with effect from January 1, 2013, the expenditure involved shall be met out from within the sanctioned budget of the respective department during financial year 2013-14.
The installment of dearness allowance this time is being released to all the employees working in Administration as a special case in anticipation of receipt of DA circular from Punjab Government,” stated the orders.
