UPA Govt's Food Ordinance absurd: Badal

PNS

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday said that the  Congress-led UPA Government’s “politically motivated” scheme of Food Security Ordinance was totally absurd due to which its fate was completely uncertain.

Talking to the mediapersons after administering oath to the newly-elected sarpanchs and panchs of Jalandhar district, Badal said that due to lackluster performance of the UPA Government, it was totally unsure whether it would be able to get this Ordinance ratified in Parliament.

“Contrary to it, the Atta-Dal scheme of the State Government, which has been now copied by the UPA, is running very successfully and with its expansion more and more number of people would be benefitted. Punjab is the first State of the country to implement this pro-poor scheme,” said Chief Minister Badal.
