Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat said on Tuesday while addressing the power department officers at UJVNl office in Dehradun that the state government would leave no stone unturned to make Uttarakhand Power Corporation limited (UPCl) a profit -earning unit so that it could contribute to the state’s development like Jal Vidyut Nigam limited (UJVNl) and Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand limited (PTCUl). He expressed satisfaction over the fact that UJVNl and PTCUl are now earning profits.
A cheque of Rs 10.14 crore was handed over to the CM by the UJVNl officials who said that it was what they had earned as profit to be used now in the development of the state. Similarly, PTCUl also handed over a cheque of Rs 5.01 crore to be used for the same purpose.
