PNS

Haryana’s outspoken Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said those who are supporting Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur for her campaign against the ABVP, are pro-Pakistan and should be thrown out of the country.

The 20-year-old lady Shri Ram College student is doing politics over the “martyrdom of her father” which is wrong, said Vij, a five-time MlA, while talking to the mediapersons here at Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

Continuing his tirade against Delhi University student, the Minister said, “Pakistan ever since its inception has been fighting direct or proxy wars with India. And a martyr’s daughter is giving clean chit to Pakistan, which is not appropriate. Such people have no right to live here and should be thrown out of the country.”

Vij earlier tweeted, “People supporting #GurmeharKaur blaming war for her #Kargilmartyr father are Pro #Pakistan should be thrown out of #India.”

The  Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur has got police security in Punjab. Officials in Jalandhar said two women constables of the Punjab Police had been stationed at Gurmehar’s residence for her protection. She left New Delhi on Tuesday for her hometown Jalandhar.

Gurmehar had on Tuesday said she was withdrawing from the social media campaign she launched against the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), blamed for violence in Delhi University.
