Describing Haryana as the land of 4Gs  Gita, Growth, Good Governance and Global Thinking, Chief Minister Manohar lal has said that this is the most opportune time for investors to invest in the State and reap rewards as the Government of the day has created a healthy atmosphere for industry to grow and flourish.

Manohar lal was addressing Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and delegates of various leading companies at the road-show organised in Kolkata under the aegis of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)  on late Saturday evening. The doors are wide open for entrepreneurs to invest in Haryana, he said.

“During our visit to US and Cananda last year, and China and Japan recently, we noticed that today the entire world is looking at India. Similarly, Haryana too is hogging attention and attracting investment”, said the Chief Minister.

He added that Haryana has also emerged as a favourite destination for investment due to the geographical advantage it enjoyed. The state surrounds Delhi on three sides and is nearest to the international airport. Gurgaon has become a cosmopolitan city and various leading companies of national and international repute have set up their head offices there.

“When I took over as Chief Minister in October 2014, the atmosphere in the state was not conducive for industries. But, we have put systems in place to enable the industries to grow and flourish and also implemented new Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015 with focus on ease-of-doing business and on-line clearances under one roof,” Manohar lal said.

Every state is making a pitch for investment but it is for the investors to decide where to invest. Haryana has peaceful law-and-order situation and there is no dearth of land. Though the State Government has its own land bank, one could also directly purchase land for setting up a unit. Besides, Haryana is a power surplus State, he added.

Manohar lal said, “Our aim is to make Digital Haryana on the pattern of Digital India and a hub of manufacturing on the lines of the Make in India programme of the Prime Minister. We have adopted zero tolerance policy towards corruption and made several services online to curb graft.”

The Chief Minister also invited the CEOs and delegates of various companies to attend the first-ever Happening Haryana Global Investors Summit-2016 to be organized in Gurgaon on March 7and 8.

later, answering queries, the Chief Minister said that a food park was being set up near Sonipat, 20 kms from Delhi border. Many food processing units are coming up in the Food Park. He asked CEOs to give suggestions for the new tourism policy which was on the anvil.
