Teachers of Government schools in Haryana have been asked to complete ‘Shiksh Setu Cards’ and ‘Teachers Diary’ on a regular basis. Those who fail to do so would not be paid salaries until they follow the instructions, T C Gupta, Principal Secretary, School Education said on Saturday.

He was addressing a two-day workshop at Kurukshetra University to further improve the quality of education from the next academic session and to prepare a framework for new curriculum. More than 250 district education officers, district elementary education officers and block education officers are participating in the workshop.

Gupta said the advisory council on education would be constituted this month. About one lakh teachers are working in government schools in the state and the ratio of student-teacher is 36:1. He hoped that officers of the Education Department would get new energy from the thoughts delivered by great educationists at the workshop. Besides, they should step up efforts to improve the quality of education.
