Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar on Wednesday accused the BJP led State Government of adopting a step-motherly attitude towards Sonipat district.
“There has been a delay in Kundli-Metro Rail Track project and indecisiveness about the establishment of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar law University in the district,” said Tanwar on the second day of the ‘Haryana Bachao-Parivartan laao cycle yatra’ in Gannaur and Gohana constituencies of Sonipat district.
Tanwar had a day before launched fourth phase of his ‘Haryana Bachao-Parivartan laao’ cycle yatra from Kundli border in Sonipat district. The yatra will conclude at Sonipat city on August 24 after covering all the constituencies of Sonipat district.
Tanwar said that the UPA Government had approved the proposal to set-up rail coach factory at Gohana but on the ground in the last four years, this project has moved to Gannaur only on papers.
“The BJP has not spared the people of the area from patronization of illegal mining in Yamuna. There was a talk of running ships in Yamuna but the deep mining has left big pits where children have drowned,” he said.
He also criticized the Khattar Government for relegating the establishment of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar law University.
The Congress leader also slammed the BJP on the issues of Rafale deal, illegal mining in Yamuna area, open auction of Government jobs and deterioration law andorder situation in Haryana.
Continuing his tirade against the BJP, Tanwar said the Chief Minister Manohar lal and his Ministers enjoyed foreign jaunts for four years in the name of setting up biggest International Market at Gannaur. This market, which was to be set-up within one year and the farmers, labour and businessmen of the area were to benefit from it, but nothing has been done during the last four years, he said.
Attacking the INlD, the Congress leader said that the main aim of INlD is to divide anti-BJP votes so that they can be a partner in the power by the back door.
