Senior Congress leader and media incharge of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) Randeep Singh Surjewala has demanded Manohar Lal Khattar Government to announce the detailed marks in written examinations and interviews for all the government recruitments made during the last five years.
Surjewala said that it is a matter of grave concern that Khattar Government is not following the clearcut directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court(22 May, 2014‘s orders) as per which the State Government was ordered to upload the details of written examinations and interview for all the public recruitments.
If the government claims to be honest and transparent in job selections, it should follow the directions of High Court. The uploading of details will expose the fake claims of the Khattar Government with regard to the fair selections and recruitments in government jobs and the people will get to know the reality of the fake claims, he added.
Accusing the State Government of interrupting the fair investigations and trying to save the highly placed real culprits in the Haryana Staff Selection Commission’s (HSSC) cash-for-job scam, Surjewala said that the government was ordered by the Panchkula District Court on December 4, 2018 to complete the inquiry within the two months but the investigation is being kept pending on one pretext or the other for the last 7 months.
Similarly, in case, when the Punjab and Haryana High Court in its written order on January 23, 2019 said “considering the magnitude of the scam and the fact that the police appears to have not carried out the investigations in impartial manner and attempt has been made to protect some functionaries of Staff Selection Board, let the Standing
Counsel of CBI be notified for the next date and the State Counsel also prepare for arguments the point why the further investigation be not referred to CBI”, the State Government avoided the CBI probe by giving an undertaking, which clearly exposed the motive and intent of the Government, he added.
