Party’s general secretary in-charge Shakeel Ahmad on Monday reiterated the Central leadership’s stand of supporting the State party unit chief Partap Singh Bajwa’s demand for CBI probe into multi-crore drug racket case.
“The AICC and PPCC has same stand on CBI inquiry into the drug racket in Punjab. Only CBI inquiry could expose the scandal which is spread in several States and countries…
Capt Amarinder’s stand against CBI probe is his personal view,” said Ahmad.
Joining the party’s ongoing hunger strike on its ninth day, Ahmad said that AICC had extended full support to PPCC in their agitation for the CBI inquiry into drug scam.
“It is moral duty of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal to hand over investigation to CBI to clear allegations on his Ministers,” he added.
