Sukhbir plays panthic card, skips langah issue

PNS

Campaigning for SAD-BJP combine candidate for Gurdaspur lok Sabha bye-election Swaran Salaria, Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal on Monday skipped the issue of rape case against senior Akali leader Sucha Singh langah.

Playing the panthic card, Sukhbir blamed the rival Congress party for Army attack on Akal Takht in 1984. He reminded Sikhs that Congress was anti-Sikh party.

“Congress has come to power by making impractical and false promises…It is the time to teach a lesson to Congress for cheating people of Punjab,” he said.

Sukhbir appealed to the people of Gurdaspur lok Sabha constituency to defeat Congress and vote for Salaria.

“I know Salaria for the long time and he will be an asset for the constituency,” he said.

Interestingly, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is raising issue of rape case registered against Salaria in Mumbai on the complaint of an airhostess. The case was late dismissed by a court.

Sukhbir, who reportedly met langah at his residence in Chandigarh on Monday morning, did not utter even a single word about rape case registered against langah at Gurdaspur and the sex video that went viral on social media.
