The city unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday demanded an enquiry into the alleged illegal and wrong promotions of employees done by Deputy Commissioner Office.
A BJP delegation comprising of councillor Satinder Singh and others on Monday met V lalremthanga, UT Secretary, Agriculture Department and demanded a high level enquiry to be conducted for concealing and twisting facts and alleged illegal/wrong promotion/up gradation of junior most employees by DC office.
Though appointment orders are yet to be issued, the BJP delegation alleged that the PA of UT Deputy Commissioner has been posted in Marketing Board at the post of senior assistant which is illegal and wrong. The BJP delegation has also alleged misuse of Government exchequer and misuse of official powers for gradation of Mandi supervisor to the post of Mandi law officer post in the Market Committee.
The delegation communicated that the UT Deputy Commissioner/Secretary, Mandi Board has defunct the system of Market Committee and Marketing Board and many officials of Market Committee/Marketing Board was suspended and reverted without any faults and transferred to other departments. The permanent Secretary of Market Committee has been reverted to Junior Assistant without any fault to adjust one person, they alleged.
After the meeting, lalremthanga assured the delegation that justice will be done in the case.
