Sushil Kumar Shinde, Congress In-charge of Himachal Pradesh, will address his first public meeting at Dharamshala onAugust 16. The meeting would be the first public interaction of the newly appointed State Congress incharge.
The public meeting of Shinde is being seen as an exercise to feel the pulse of public after the recent developments in the state, in which, the ruling Congress remained at the receiving end. Shinde would address the public meeting besides having three separate meetings with local party MlAs and leaders on August 16 and 17.
The Kangra visit is part of Congress strategy to arrest the momentum of the public criticism, which the party had been facing since the Himachal Pradesh government earned across the state criticism in the Kotkhai gang rape and murder case.
