A day after his visit to Sector 26 Grain Market, the UT Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shayin has ordered to shift firecrackers shops from Sector 26 market to Sector 28.
The orders have been given as DC found many violations of fire safety norms during his surprise visit to Sector 26 market on Tuesday. Moreover, Sector 26 was not a designated place to sell firecrackers. About 10 shops have been shifted from Sector 26 to Sector 28, which is a designated place to sell firecrackers.
