He said that like 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, Swachh Bharat Mission is also one of the topmost priorities of the State Government, hence every village and city of the state should be made clean and beautiful with public participation.

Khattar  said that the meeting of the Swachh Bharat Mission State Task Force should be held every three months so that the schemes could be implemented after reviewing the works.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also took feedback from the members of the State Task Force and gave necessary directions to the officers.

He directed the officers concerned to ensure proper utilization of funds given by the Central and State Government under the Mission and said that the responsibility of the officer should be fixed for this.

He also directed that community toilets should be constructed only at those places where there is a need and if the satisfactory report needs to be reviewed then that too should be done at the earliest.

The District Project Manager (DPM) of Swachh Bharat Mission would submit the report to the CEO of the Zilla Parishad as well as to the members of the State Task Force, he said.

The Chief Minister further said that to make villages and cities clean with public participation, the cooperation of voluntary organizations and institutions should be taken.  A village should be developed as a role model from a cleanliness point of view, he directed.

He said that the model villages developed at the block and district level should become a source of inspiration for others. Besides this, cleanliness and beautification competitions should be organized among the local bodies to make the cities clean, he added. Khattar asked the officers concerned to appoint nodal officers for Swachh Bharat Mission in all the units of the local bodies.
