Four people attacked two workers of a private company, located at industrial area here with sharp edged weapons late on Thursday night, killing one and wounding the other.
The injured worker told the police that the accused made an attempt to loot the company but could not succeed. Ramdheni (deceased) and Rinku, both working in a screw manufacturing company, were alone at night when four people attacked them with sharp edged weapons before fleeing.
“Four unknown people entered in the premises with the purpose of loot and stabbed Ramdheni with sharp edged weapons while he was on his security duty. later the accused also stabbed me.” said Rinku, who was injured.
local police was informed about the incident who rushed both to Government Multi Specialty Hospital of sector-16, where Ramdheni succumbed during treatment on Friday morning, while the condition of Rinku is still critical.
Ramdheni, a resident of Hallo Majra, was working in the company as a security guard, while Rinku worked as a labour. “No arrest in the case has been made. Further investigation is under progress,” said Vijay Kumar, DSP, UT police
