SAD lashes at AAP legislator Phoolka

SAD on Wednesday lashed out at Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator HS Phoolka for “grossly misreading the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report with his biased mind and deduced wild conclusions, not remotely related to its contents”.

“Phoolka has taken an unscrupulous, illegal and unconstitutional stance that the government can register a case against former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on the basis of recommendation of the Justice Ranjit Singh,” said SAD’s senior vice-president Daljeet Singh Cheema.

Cheema pointed that to support his argument, Phoolka had claimed that the last page of the supplementary report states that evidently the then Chief Minister was involved in giving orders of firing at Bhabal Kalan, “and Phoolka too echoed what the Congress ministers were orchestrating that Badal was culprit without reading the contentious Ranjit Singh report”.

Challenging Phoolka,  Cheema said that not to talk of last page but firing at Behbal Kalan is not discussed at all in the supplementary report and one can’t trace mention of Behbal Kalan even with help of high-power magnifying glass.

But to accomplish its sinister designs, Justice Ranjit Singh, in league with the Congress bosses, tried to confuse by clubbing both the incidents to give a handle to his Congress masters, said Cheema.

“Unfortunately, Phoolka who himself in a practicing lawyer at the Supreme Court has lapped such a loose statement to conclude that the panel had indicted Badal which is farfetched and ludicrous,” he said.

“This was least expected from a senior practicing lawyer of the Apex Court and his selective reading of the controversial report, including supplementary one, reflects adversely on his professional credentials,” averred Cheema adding that Phoolka has threatened to quit his assembly if a case is not registered against Badal merely to become martyr.
