SAD asks Kejriwal to debate development

PNS

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Thursday dared Delhi CM and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal to debate the development done by him in Delhi with that was done by the SAD-BJP Government instead of resorting to cheap publicity tricks to befool the people of Punjab. In a statement here, senior SAD leaders and party MPs Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Balwinder Singh Bhundur said Kejriwal should list his achievements as well as tell the people of Punjab what social welfare measures he has taken. “What we have learnt from your massive Rs532 crore advertising blitzkrieg is that you opened one dispensary to fulfill the promise made by you to augment the health sector in Delhi”.

They said similarly other petty works undertaken in Delhi had been touted as major achievements. Taking on Kejriwal on his statement that he would end corruption in Punjab in two months if AAP was voted to power in 2017, the Akali leaders said corruption not only continued to flourish in Delhi but it had even increased. “The bribe rate has even increased”, the leaders said adding if Kejriwal really wanted to end corruption why he had not fulfilled his commitment to appoint an independent lok Pal. “This itself is proof that he is afraid of appointing a lok Pal who will expose the rampant corruption in his government”, the leaders added.
