SAD alleges, magisterial enquiry to give clean chit to Sidhu couple

PNS

Shiromani Akali Dal on Monday alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has order the magisterial inquiry into the ‘ghastly’ tragedy in which 59 persons were killed as a “major cover-up operation and to give clean chit to organizers and Sidhu couple”.

Incensed over Capt Amarinder’s move to silence his critics, former SGPC chief and senior SAD leader Jagir Kaur said that he can’t ward off criticism by holding the shield of magisterial inquiry.

She dared the Government to appoint a sitting High Court judge to probe the incident and identify the guilty if the Congress Government is keen to let the truth come out and guilty be punished.

“The people have no faith in the magisterial inquiry as it has already been briefed to bail out organizers of the Dusherra event. “Not surprising, the magisterial probe may indict the victims why they trespassed into railway property while they were just invited to stand at the Dhobi Ghat area,” said Jagir Kaur adding that the probe is mere a futile attempt to douse inflamed sentiments on the gross failure of the district administration and the organizers.
