Regular classes in Haryana schools for Class I-II students from March 1

PNS

Haryana Government on Wednesday decided to start regular classes in schools from March 1 for students of Class I and II. The school’s timings will be from 10 am to 1.30 pm. The schools have already opened for students of classes III and above.

An official spokesperson said the parents of the students have to submit a consent letter to the school head/class teacher before sending them to schools.

Besides this, parents who want to continue online education can continue to do so. The Government has decided that the schools shall not compel the parents to send their wards nor will the student’s name be dropped from school due to absence during this duration.

The spokesperson said the entire school is divided into Senior Secondary, Secondary, Middle and Primary Wings. If any student is found to be Covid-19 positive, the said wing will be closed for 10 days and the entire school will be sanitised.

If more than one student is found to be Covid-19 positive in one wing then the entire school will be closed for 10 days. This decision will be applicable on Government schools as well as private schools across the State.
