Voices of dissidence are being heard loud and clear in the Congress party as well. A day after the Congress announced the name of Abohar MlA Sunil Jakhar as party candidate from Ferozepur, the party’s faction belonging to Duru Har Sahai MlA Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi has raised the banner of revolt, though not in open.
Available information suggests that his son Anumeet Sodhi is mulling to contest the lok Sabha elections from Ferozepur as an independent candidate, and is presently
consulting their supporters and the party workers.
Efforts are being made to persuade Rana Sodhi and his son to back the candidature of Sunil Jakhar to give a befitting fight to the SAD-BJP candidate.
