The Punjab Government on Wednesday firmly vowed to support the “legitimate right” of Punjab cadre teachers working at UT Chandigarh on deputation.
“The SAD-BJP Government would not let any officers or employees of Punjab cadre at UT to face discrimination and their constitutional rights would be safeguarded,” said State Education Minister Daljit Singh Cheema during a meeting with Punjab cadre UT teachers.
Teachers extended gratitude towards Education Minister for taking up their case of forcefully repatriation from UT to Punjab by UT Administration.
They said that with the timely intervention of Punjab Government, their repatriation process was stopped.
