To eliminate the shortcomings of doctors in dispensaries and civil hospitals across the State especially in rural belt and border areas, the Punjab Government is all set to recruit 404 doctors.
These appointments would be made through Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), said a Government spokesperson. Out of 404 vacancies, 332 are regular and 72 are backlog posts. The categories include general, ESM/lDESM, freedom fighter, sports person, visually impaired, hearing impaired, orthopedically disabled, SC, Balmiki or Mazbhi Sikh, and BC.
Selection process is through an exam, date of which will be announced. last date to apply for these jobs online is April 9, 2015, while the last date for the receipt of hard copy of duly filled is April 24, 2015.
