To boost eye donation movement in the state, Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra on Monday took an initiative by pledging to donate his own eyes saying that the campaign should become a people's movement. Jauramajra, presiding over a state-level event at Government Dental College Auditorium Patiala on the occasion of 37th National Eye Donation Fortnight, asked the people to come forward voluntarily to contribute towards the awareness campaign launched by the Punjab Government to become an eye donor.
