The Punjab Government has put a ban on the transfers and postings for the year 2013-14.
“Time period for routine transfers in the State is from August 1 to 31, and now as per policy, there is provision of mid-term transfers only,” stated the official spokesperson of the State Government.
He said mid-term transfers and postings in special cases should be done considering the instructions of the transfer policy and with the prior permission of the Chief Minister. The spokesperson added that written instructions about government orders have been sent to the heads of all the departments, divisional commissioners and sub-divisional magistrates (civil), and chairmen and managing directors of all the corporations and boards.
