Praising the Arvind Kejriwal’s Delhi Government for announcing the full expense of devotees of Sri Kartarpur Sahib, Aam Aadmi Party's MLA from Sunam, Aman Arora on Sunday maintained that the Punjab Government and the SGPC should follow his footsteps.
Dubbing the move as a good initiative taken by Delhi Chief Minister, Arora said that now the Congress Government, the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in Punjab should also follow the Kejriwal Government so that more and more devotees can visit the Gurudwara Sahib.
Kejriwal Government has announced that for the residents of Delhi who wants to visit Sri Kartarpur Sahib during Guru Nanak Dev's 550th centenary ceremony, the expenditure and the 20 dollars fee kept by the Pakistan Government will be paid by the State Government, Arora said. He said that it is surprising that the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Punjab Government have kept Baba Nanak's ideology at bay.
He said that observing the statements of Akali and Congress leaders shows that these statements are far from Baba Nanak's philosophy.
Arora appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal to abandon their ego and spend the whole expenditure of devotees for the visit to Sri Kartarpur Sahib, following the path of Delhi's Kejriwal Government.
