Punjab Cong criticises SAD-BJP Govt, AAP

PNS

Punjab Congress leaders on Monday lashed out at the ruling Akali Dal-BJP alliance for destroying Punjab “beyond redemption” while filling up their own coffers. The party also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party for trying to mislead people with false hopes even after having completely failed in Delhi.

Former Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, while addressing a workers’ meeting in ludhiana East assembly segment, said that it was strange and surprising that while the Badal family amassed wealth worth thousands of crores of rupees, Punjab under their rule was going bankrupt.

She said that from number one position during the Congress regime between 2002 and 2007, Punjab had slid down to the eighteenth position. “If Punjab is topping the list in the country in anything, it is the drugs and the law and order,” she said, while adding that they have destroyed and an entire generation of our youth.

The former Chief Minister referred to the widespread unemployment with over 90 lakh people unemployed in the State. She said that the Badals were best at employing their own family members with six of them as ministers while one was a minister at the Centre.

Referring to the fiction and myths spread by the AAP, she urged people to see what had happened in Delhi. “In one year Kejriwal rule, Delhi had gone back by 20 years…All the progress and development in Delhi carried out by Sheila Dixit during 15 years has been reversed in just one year by Kejriwal,” she said.
