The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday permitted Haryana Government to reinstate 3581 guest teachers back in various Government schools of the state until the appointment of regular teachers.
The court, however, set the deadline of March 31, 2016 for the Government to complete the recruitment process of regular teachers so that these guest teachers could be replaced by them. HC has also asked the State Government to file an affidavit in this regard by Friday.
The court has passed these orders after hearing state’s application seeking permission to allow the State to reinstate terminated “surplus” guest teachers till the regular appointments are not made. The State had taken the plea that shortage of teachers is causing huge loss to the education of the schoolchildren.
