PNS

Hundreds of protesters carrying banners with slogans of Hang Gitanjali’s killer marched peacefully through the roads of Ambala city on Friday, shouting slogans against the police for their failure to arrest, Chief Judicial Magistrate Ravneet Garg.

Four months have passed since the CBI registered a case under Section 302 IPC against Garg. The protestors were demanding immediate suspension of the judge for allegedly firing three shots at his wife Gitanjali, whose body was later recovered bearing three bullet wounds at the over growth near the Police lines on July 17, 2013.

However, the police have failed to solve the case and the murder still lurks in mystery. The protestors submitted a memorandum to the district session judge, in the court complex demanding suspension and arrest of the alleged killer. The father of the deceased, Om Prakash Agarwal, has alleged that Ravneet’s father, KK Garg a retired district session judge, who is presently posted as the judge at the labour Tribunal in Chandigarh, played a part in the conspiracy and at present he was shielding his son.
