As many as 896 NRIs have got themselves registered online for the ‘Pravasi Haryana Divas-2017’ to be held at Gurugram on January 10 and 11.
Union Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge), Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry (Independent Charge), Nirmala Sitharaman, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal, Industries and Commerce Minister Vipul Goel would grace the event on the first day, said an official spokesman.
He said that a cultural evening would be organised to acquaint the delegates with the rich cultural heritage of Haryana, including the vibrant folk songs and dances.
About 150 folk artistes would participate in the programme, which would be hosted by Ravi Sharma from the United Kingdom (UK), he said.
The spokesman said that while ‘Hasya Kavi’, Surender Sharma and Arun Gemini would regale the guests with their special brand of humour, Haryanvi pop singer, Gajendra Phogat, would present folk songs on the occasion.
Folk singer, Harvinder Rana and his troupe would present the song ‘Dhaare jab pahuncha England’, whereas Haryanvi orchestra would present traditional instrumental music. A team of Kingdom of Dreams would also present colourful dances during the ‘Beyond Bollywood’ presentation, he added.
