Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Tuesday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the 63-foot- tall statue of peasant leader late Sir Chhotu Ram at his native village Garhi Sampla in Rohtak on October 9.

“The Prime Minister will also address a public rally at Sampla on the same day,’ said the Chief Minister while talking to the mediapersons in New Delhi.

Manohar Lal also said that the Prime Minister is unlikely to participate at Karnal rally to be held on November 1, Haryana Day and to celebrate four-year completion of the present BJP Government in the state.

“The Prime Minister will be busy due to assembly polls scheduled in various states. So it is not confirmed that he will participate in Karnal’s rally,” he said.

Recently, Manohar Lal had called on the Prime Minister in this regard at his residence in New Delhi.

Manohar Lal had discussed with the Prime Minister in detail regarding various new projects of which the foundation stones would be laid and also those which would be inaugurated to mark the four-year completion of the present Haryana Government on November 1.

The Chief Minister also said that he will be meeting BJP chief Amit Shah in a couple of days.

The state BJP had planned to invite Prime Minister, BJP chief and central party leaders for November 1 rally at Karnal.
