The suspense over the prime ministerial candidate of the BJP will be stretched a little longer as party's forthcoming national executive meeting scheduled to begin in Goa on June 7 will strictly restrict to deciding poll strategies.

Party general secretary JP Nadda said that the decision on Prime Ministerial candidate would not be taken in Goa, but by the party's parliamentary board later.

"Party's parliamentary board will decide on post of prime ministerial candidate. They will take the decision at appropriate time," Nadda said. Nadda also denied that the party was buying time while declaring one particular person as PM candidate fearing risk of alienating his/her opponents.

He said that such a decision could not be taken by the national executive.

The BJP meeting in Goa is expected to be attended by party leaders-- including national office bearers, Chief Ministers, Opposition leaders, organising secretaries, State presidents.

Nadda confirmed that BJP veteran lK Advani, party president Rajnath Singh and all former presidents of the BJP would be present.

The meeting, among other things, will discuss the recent debacle in Karnataka, working out various strategies with an eye on the forthcoming lok Sabha polls, issues related to UPA's mis-governance, corruption and its disregard of constitutional bodies like the office of the Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Comptroller Auditor General, Joint Parliamentary Committees and even the Supreme Court of India.

"The UPA is at the height of arrogance and frustration... The BJP feels that the UPA has no right to stay and it has never been honest to the cause of the people," Nadda said.

Nadda said that the meet would discuss and possibility come up with a statement on the performance of the UPA Government on the on India's external affairs strategy which he said was a source of embarrassment.

"Even our neighbours and small nations are not taking India seriously," Nadda said. The three-day conclave in Goa he said would be held at a starred resort not too far from the State capital on June 7.
