To improve the standard of education, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Tuesday visited the Government Middle School, Gochar, to experience its actual condition. During the visit, many shortcomings came to the fore like students were deprived of basic facilities and school building was in a dilapidated state. School’s boundary wall had fallen from many places and electrical fittings were also in shambles. Electricity supply has to be cut off during summer and rainy season to protect the children from electrocution. Likewise, the school playground was also in very bad condition. The Minister has directed Department’s junior engineer to submit a report immediately to resolve the school's problems.
