Haryana Government has directed the Social Justice and Empowerment Department to prepare a scheme to deliver pension to the old-age and divyangs at their door step.
The Government has also directed the Department to include the old-age pension and divyang pension under the Right to Service Act.
The directions were issued on the basis of issues and suggestions came up in various rounds of meeting which Chief Minister Manohar lal had with district officers and public representatives during his visit to district Jind last week.
The CM had said as some of the beneficiaries of old age pension and divyang pension wanted their pension to be delivered at home so a scheme should be prepared to provide this service to them.
He also said with a view to ensure that the new applicants of old age pension and divyang pension do not face any difficulty in getting themselves enrolled , these should be included as a service under the Right to Service Act. Also, efforts should be made to make these services available online so as to facilitate the beneficiaries, he added.
