In a gruesome incident, a mother of six children with the help of her paramour allegedly murdered her husband and then dumped his body in a well in Bialali village under the jurisdiction of Bawani Khera police station here.
The crime came to fore on Thursday when the family members recovered the body of Hoshiar Singh (42) from the well. The police have started investigation after booking 38-year-old Neelam and her 22-year-old paramour Sonu Sharma on charges of murder and destroying the evidences on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Mangal Singh in this regard. Both the accused have been arrested. Police said Neelam was having illicit relations with Sonu while Hoshiar used to object the frequent visit of Sonu in the house. Both of them then hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Hoshiar Singh.
Executing the plot, Neelam and Sonu murdered Hoshiar Singh on Sunday last and dumped his body in a well situated adjacent to his house at Jaatu lohari Road here with an intention to destroy the evidence. Thereafter, Neelam made a call to Mangal Singh and misled him stating that his brother had gone out of the house but had not return even after several hours, said the police. The family searched for the body and found the body from a well, said Mangal to the police.
“Both the accused, during interrogation, confessed to their crime and confirmed the illicit relation between them behind the murder. Neelam and Sonu were on Friday produced before a local court,” said Devender Singh, SHO of the Bawani Khera police station.
