Haryana Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Monday said that formation of a separate committee would be proposed in case of Gurgaon to resolve the problems faced by people living in colonies developed by builders. He said that he would urge the Chief Minister Manohar lal for formation of this committee which will include Chief Executive of Haryana Urban Development Authority and Chief Town Planner and others. This committee will act as mediator between builders and Resident Welfare Association (RWA) and would provide relief to the residents of those colonies.
Rao Narbir during the Janta Darbar at Gurgaon said that some members of RWA shared their problems during his visit to those colonies. He said that at some colonies community centres have been developed into clubs by the builders for commercial use.
The Minister assured the residents that the State government would do its best to provide them all the necessary facilities. He said that there is a proposal to build under pass at Signature tower Chowk, IFFCO Chowk and Rajiv Chowk and construction would be initiated soon. There is also a proposal for constructing foot over bridges at some places for the convenience of pedestrians by Municipal Corporation.
He added that the main aim of organising Janta Darbar is to meet people and resolve their problems. Majority of problems which were redressed today were related to electricity, water and road construction in Municipal Corporation areas and all concerned officials have been directed to take actions to resolve them.
