MAJITHIA ASKS AAP PUNJAB, WHERE IT STANDS

PNS

Demanding Kejriwal’s immediate sacking and arrest, SAD on Sunday asked the AAP’s Punjab unit to tell where it stood on the latest revelations – with the corrupt and immoral Kejriwal or the party’s ideals.

Terming the bribery scandal as an epoch event which had finally uncovered Kejriwal’s real face, former minister Bikram Majithia said that AAP was being accused of corruption since long.

“However, now we have a person who was cabinet minister in the Delhi government till a few hours back claiming he witnessed the Delhi CM accepting Rs two crore bribe from a tainted colleague with his own eyes. Mishra has also claimed that he was shocked by the development and even protested against such naked corruption but was told to keep quiet,” he said.

Terming Kapil Mishra’s disclosures as India’s own Watergate and the biggest expose in independent India, Majithia said that it had affirmed what was common knowledge – that AAP was enmeshed in the cesspool of corruption and immorality.

“Kejriwal has always maintained that he will take action against anyone accused of wrongdoing, be it his own son. What will you do now when you yourself are in the dockIJ People expect you to do the honorable thing and resign immediately rather than trying to discredit Kapil Mishra,” he said.

Majithia added, “You should know that Mishra is founder member of India Against Corruption (IAC) and was found worthy to become a legislator and even be included as a colleague in your ministry. Now, the same person cannot be termed as insane by you and your cronies within hours of exposing you.”

Stating that this was not the first time that Kejriwal had encouraged corruption and immorality, he said that earlier, the founding fathers of the party had been shown the door for demanding propriety in party functioning, and the same had happened in Punjab with party MPs Dharamvira Gandhi and Harinder Khalsa being isolated.

“Kejriwal also has the dubious record of defending his tainted colleagues till they remain indefensible,” he said citing examples of Jitender Tomar in the fake degree case, Somnath Bharti accused of domestic violence, among others.

Stating that AAP had lost people’s trust, Majithia said that now it was for the AAP Punjab leadership to tell where it stood.

Punjab AAP unit must tell whether it endorses corruption and Kejriwal or the ideals of the founding fathers of AAP, Majithia added.
