Majithia accuses Delhi CM of misleading people as well as court

PNS

Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Tuesday accused Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party’s national convener Arvind Kejriwal of running politics of lies in Delhi which won’t be successful in Punjab.

Majithia, commenting on the defamation case he filed against Kejriwal in Amritsar court, said Delhi Chief Minister was playing politics of double speak and not only misleading the people but the courts also.

He said the SAD-BJP alliance would fight the elections on the sole agenda of development agenda and was all set to form Government for third time consecutive term in Punjab.

Majitha, interacting with the mediapersons on the sidelines of inauguration of two Sub-Registrar offices I and II modernised with the ultramodern facilities at the cost of Rs 5 crore, said Kejriwal and his aides levelled baseless false allegations against their political opponents in the media and when brought to the court, they escape by getting bails.

Citing an example, Majithia pointed at an ‘outrageous lie’ by one of its senior most leaders Ashish Khetan before the court in Amritsar, in which he had declared that he could not attend the court as he had been advised bed rest for three days, that was July 29 to 31.

“The court exempted him from personal appearance that day on medical grounds, believing that Khetan might be confined to bed. But this statement before the court turned out to be a big lie and a massive fraud when the same Khetan appeared on television channels yesterday to argue his party’s case on the issue of poor management of sewerage and drainage by AAP Government in Delhi following rains,” he said.

Majithia described Khetan’s misleading statement before the court as ‘a most serious act and the contempt of court. “Khetan is the same AAP leader who had committed the gravest sacrilege of declaring Guru Granth Sahib and AAP manifesto as equal in their eyes,” he said.

Commenting on Kejriwal’s ‘vipassana’ meditation course, Majithia said Punjabi youth had given a befitting reply to Kejriwal for defaming them during his visit to the Amritsar to court few days back, therefore, he was escaping from facing people in the name of such courses.

Majithia, once again, dared Kejriwal to give come forward for day-to-day hearing in the defamation case. “Kejriwal’s politics is totally based on lies, he is not able to give any jobs to the youth in Delhi and making fake promises in Punjab to give 25 lakh jobs to youth,” he said.

Describing Kejriwal as “100 per cent nautankibaaj” who just want to rise in politics by targeting established people with false allegations, Majithia said that AAP leader started his politics by targeting industrialists and then Gandhi Family and now he has started mud sledging on Prime Minister.
