Majithia: AAP playing double-faced politics

PNS

Terming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as a “double-faced party”, Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday said that what can people expect from a party whose leaders in Punjab give statements in favour of the State, and on that very day in Delhi, gives statements against the interests of Punjab on the same issue.

On the issue of Satluj-Yamuna link (SYl) canal, AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave statement in favour of Punjab during his visit to Punjab and after reaching Delhi, he changed his stand, said Majithia, while interacting with the mediapersons after addressing a rally.

Majithia said that Kejriwal is making false promises in Punjab whereas the condition of Delhi is worsening day-by-day. “Even people are not getting basic facilities,” he said.

“Kejriwal is sheltering corrupt and women exploiters and if anyone tries to stand up against such activities within his party, he shows the door as a dictator. AAP is totally exposed due to its corrupt leaders who are selling tickets in Punjab and involved in sex scandals,” he added.

Commenting on the day-by-day decreasing graph of Punjab Congress, Majithia said that State party chief Capt Amarinder Singh was himself to blame for this who was still not available for even his senior party leaders as he used to do during his tenure as Chief Minister.

“Congress’ frustration is now becoming violent as seen during the last Vidhan Sabha session few days back…No one said any castiest remarks but the Congress tried all means to create drama inside and outside the Vidhan Sabha to recover their lost ground,” said Majithia.

He added that the Congress has always adopted the policy of divided and rule but now the people are fully aware of such petty politics of Congress.

Commenting on the ‘fourth front’, he said that such fronts often come up near elections but the aware people will not fall into such traps. “SAD-BJP will form government in the state for the third consecutive term on the inclusive development agenda,” he said.
