land deal skeleton again out of the closet to spook Vadra

Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law, Robert Vadra might face the flak again as the Haryana BJP has decided to review the ‘land Acquisition’ policy of the State. The BJP MP from Gurgaon, Rao Inderjit Singh on Tuesday said that reviewing the land acquisition policy is in their priority list.

“State Government had distributed prime farm lands to real estates giants and thereafter change of land use (ClU) certificates were provided to them. In the process it is the farmers and the tax payer in the State who have been on the receiving end,” said Singh. In 2013, Rao faced the wrath of the Congress party, of which he was a senior member when he demanded a thorough enquiry into the DlF-Vadra land deal. After being estranged by the Congress over this issue, Rao switched to the BJP before the recently concluded lok Sabha elections. The turncoat MP, in 2013 had also questioned the SEZ policy of the State Government, under which around 21,000 acres of land was notified as economic zones, changing their usage status over a period of just six years.  After coming in power, Rao now a MP from Gurgaon from  the BJP party has enough arsenals to target the alleged dubious land deals. The DlF-Vadra land deals were also raked up during the campaigning for the lok-Sabha elections across the nation. The top notch BJP leaders, who were in Opposition when the land deal issue broke out, demanded a thorough investigation into the matter from then Manmohan Singh Government and also enquired about the assets of Vadra which swelled up considerably within a short span of time.
