The accused, Anand Kumar, underwent a surgery in the Government Multi Specialty Hospital (GMSH) and a part of bullet was removed from his body. After being discharged from the hospital, he was arrested by the police, said Ashish Kapoor, DSP, UT police.

Anand was taken to the police station from the back doors of hospital, as the family of the deceased was protesting outside the hospital and demanding strict action against the accused.
