A day after disgruntled State BJP MlAs voiced their displeasure against their own State Government in Haryana, the Chief Minister Manohar lal on Friday sought to downplay the entire controversy surrounding his alleged “weak” leadership in the State.

The Chief Minister, while talking to the mediaperons on the sidelines of 3-day Haryana Sahitya Sangam which began at Panchkula, said that BJP is a big family and issues of all elected representatives would be resolved.

When asked about more than 15 rebelling party MlAs, who have complained against him to the party high command, Manohar lal said that we will resolve the grievances of MlAs and there is no internal strife in the party.

On the allegations of some of MlAs that bureaucrats are running the show in Haryana, the Chief Minister said the bureaucrats work under the Government and we have control over them.

A day before, more than 15 disgruntled BJP MlAs had lodged a complaint with the party high command against their own Government.

During a meeting of State MlAs with BJP’s national joint general secretary (organization), V Satish, the rebelling MlAs had slammed their own Government registering a complaint against the bureaucracy, slow pace of development works, pending announcements of Chief Minister among other issues.

Miffed over the “unsupportive attitude” of the bureaucrats in Haryana, the MlAs had also raised questions on the leadership of Manohar lal in the State. The State MlAs had also demanded that “due respect” should be given to them and party workers in the State.

More than 15 MlAs had earlier met the Chief Minister to air their grievances in the first week of March. However, their talks had remained inconclusive following which the party high command had to step in to pacify the situation.

Notably, dissident BJP MlA from Gurugram, Umesh Aggarwal had left his own Government embarrassed in the recently concluded budget session of Haryana Assembly raising a number of issues including Gwal Pahari, pending CM announcements and change in Gurugram master plan.

It was just before the onset of the recently concluded budget session of State Assembly that the disgruntled party MlAs had raised the issue of being ignored by their own Government and bureaucracy being running the show in Haryana.
