Kejri must clarify AAP's ideology: Bajwa

PNS

Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday called upon Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal to clarify his party’s ideology as the people in his party belonged to extreme thoughts in contradiction with each other.

Referring to the background of AAP candidate from Talwandi Sabo Prof Baljinder Kaur whose family had been part of radical stream, Bajwa said that Kejriwal must explain whether his party believed in Gandhian thought process or radical ideologies of various shades. “During his visit to Talwandi Sabo on Monday, Kejriwal must clarify ideological positioning of his party,” he added.

Slamming AAP for facilitating SAD as it was party strategy to divide anti-incumbency votes, Bajwa called upon Kejriwal as to why his party was indirectly helping ruling Akali Dal. “In lok Sabha election also, Badals had helped AAP candidate in every way that facilitated victory of Harsimrat Badal,” he said.

“The people now fully understood the role of a spoilsport being played by AAP in Punjab where they are determined to throw out corrupt and non-performing Akali Dal-BJP alliance. This tsunami of anger is all the more palpable in Bathinda lok Sabha constituency of which Talwandi Sabo is a part,” said Bajwa.

Bajwa pointed that success in four lok Sabha seats in Punjab had failed to create a momentum in its favour and AAP became a victim of factionalism even before it could evolve any organisational structure.
